This little cove is on an island in the lake where my brother lives. It was mid summer and sunny and beutiful that day. The reflection of the trees in the water made everything seem green, which is why I chose to paint this scene. I enjoyed trying to capture so many variations on the one color. Michigan tends to be very green in the summer.
